26 September 2024 EPL Exam for International Students

The English Placement Exam (EPL) for international students enrolled at TED University is scheduled for September 26, 2024. Students are required to be present in their designated classrooms, as shown in the link below, prior to the exam time.

Information regarding the exam content can be found in the "Proficiency Exams" section of the English Language School's website: https://els.tedu.edu.tr/en/els/english-proficiency-exam-epe.

The results of the EPL will be announced on the same day by 6:00 PM on the English Language School's website. Based on their performance, students will either qualify to take the TEDU English Proficiency Exam (EPE) on 27 September 2024 or be placed in the appropriate level at the TEDU English Language School. It is mandatory to take the EPL before attempting the EPE. Students not taking the EPL will be placed in the lowest level (ELE).

Below is the procedure for the exam:

Exam Procedures:

  • Students can only take the exam in the specified rooms and at the times listed.
  • Students must bring a valid ID to the exam.
  • Latecomers will not be admitted to the exam.
  • Students may not leave the exam room during the first 30 minutes of the exam.
  • Students are not allowed to take breaks during the exam. Those who leave the exam room will not be allowed to return.
  • Bringing dictionaries into the exam room is prohibited.
  • Bringing food into the exam room is prohibited.
  • Students may bring water into the exam room only if the labels are removed from the bottles.
  • Students must bring pencils, pens, erasers, mechanical pencil leads, and pencil sharpeners. They should also bring spares of these materials. They are not allowed to ask others or the exam invigilators for any exam materials.
  • All watches and electronic devices will be collected, and turned off. If it is discovered that a student has an undeclared electronic device, disciplinary action will be initiated through an official report.
  • If the invigilator suspects a student is cheating, they have the right to file an official report without warning the student. Once the report is filed, the necessary disciplinary procedures will be initiated.
  • If students do not code their exam booklet type or classroom code, their exams may be considered invalid.
  • Exam booklets and optical answer sheets cannot be removed from the exam room.
  • Students are not allowed to ask invigilators any questions regarding the exam content.
