English Proficiency Exam (EPE) for Graduate Program Applicants and Students Who Have Not Successfully Completed the English Preparatory Program

The English Proficiency Exam (EPE), which will be held on June 16–17, 2025, is open to students who meet the criteria outlined below:

1. For Graduate Program Applicants:

  • Candidates applying to graduate programs are required to document their English language proficiency. English proficiency can be demonstrated by taking the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) administered by our university.
  • National or international language exams accepted as equivalent by the University Senate can also be used to certify language proficiency.
  • Graduates of the TED University who are applying to graduate programs are not required to resubmit proof of English language proficiency.

2. For Students Who Have Not Successfully Completed the English Preparatory Program:

  • Students who have failed to complete the English Preparatory Program within the maximum study period of 2 years and have been dismissed from the University are eligible to take the English Proficiency Exam directly, in accordance with Article 9, Clause 1(b) of the English Language School (ELS) Education and Examination Directive.
  • Applications for these students will open on June 3, 2025. All applications must be completed by June 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the latest.

Application Steps to Take the Exam:

  1. The exam fee must be paid to the Financial Affairs Office (Office No: A019) within the application dates stated above.
  2. A petition, along with the receipt showing proof of payment, must be submitted to the Administrative Office of the English Language School (Office No: B543).
  3. Information regarding the exam date, time, and room assignment will be sent to the applicant’s email address (provided in the petition) via els@tedu.edu.tr.
