Dear Students,

The English Placement Exam will be conducted in one session on 03.09.2024. The exam will take place between 09:00 and 12:00. Students who will take the exam need to be in their designated classrooms at 09:00. You may access the student/classroom lists from the link below.

03.09.2024 EPL Student/Classroom Lists

To reach your classrooms, please use the following entrances:

• If your classroom code is A, B, or K Block, use the İncesu Entrance (next to Hüdaverdi Bakery).
• If your classroom code is D or DB, use the Aksu Entrance (opposite Kurtuluş Park-Main Entrance).
• If your classroom code is G, use the Ziya Gökalp Street Entrance (opposite Hüdaverdi Bakery).
• If your classroom code is F, use either the Ziya Gökalp Street Entrance (opposite Hüdaverdi Bakery) or the Aksu Entrance (opposite Kurtuluş Park-Main Entrance).

If you cannot find your classrooms or if your name is not listed, you can go to the exam centers at B 240 or G 101.

Exam rules are as follows:

ENGLISH PLACEMENT EXAM (EPL) PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS

1. Students need to provide a valid identity card such as their national identity card, driver’s license, or TEDU ID card. For international students, their passport is enough. Students who fail to provide any accepted document will not be admitted to the exam.
2. Students are expected to have a pencil, a pen, an eraser and a pencil sharpener. It is recommended that students have a spare pen, pencil and a spare eraser as well. Students will not be able to borrow any of these materials from each other or the invigilator.
3. The invigilators will collect all electronic devices of the students before the start of the exam. Students need to turn off all their electronic devices and hand them in to the invigilators. 
4. Students are not allowed to leave the exam venue during the first 30 minutes and the last 10 minutes of the exam.
5. Students cannot leave the exam venue and come back unless there is an emergency. In case of an emergency, students should inform the invigilators. 
6. Students are not allowed to use dictionaries.
7. Students are not allowed to take any type of food to the exam room.
8. Students are allowed to take water bottles with them to the exam room after its label is removed.
9. Invigilators can write an incident report in case of a suspicious act of a student. Following this, the student’s exam result will not be valid.
10. Students need to sign the cover page of their booklets. Exam results of students who do not sign the booklet may not be valid.
11. If a student fails to code his exam booklet type or class code correctly on the optical forms, his/her exam result may be invalid.
12. Exam booklets and optical forms cannot be taken out of the exam rooms.
13. Students are not allowed to ask invigilators any questions about the exam content.
14. Exam results will be announced on the website https://els.tedu.edu.tr.
