IMPORTANT: 03.09.2019 ENGLISH PLACEMENT EXAM (EPL): UPDATED STUDENT LIST & PROCEDURES

Dear students,

There have been some changes to the student list. 

Please click to access the updated classrooms for the English Placement Exam (EPL) which is going to be held on September, 3 at 09:30. The list is alphabetized by your surname. If you are a registered student but your name is still not on the list, please contact ELS Secreteriat as soon as possible.

03.09.2019 EPL GENERAL INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES

 

  • Starts at 09:30
  • Students without TEDU ID cards will not be accepted to the exam.
  • If you do not have your TEDU ID card, you need to take your student certificate from the Student Affairs Office or print it from e-Devlet. However, if you run late while doing this, you will not be accepted to the exam. 
  • Latecomers will not be accepted to the exam.
  • Students cannot leave the classroom within the first 30 minutes and the last 15 minutes of the exam. 
  • No toilet break
  • No dictionaries allowed
  • No food allowed
  • Water is allowed only if the label of the bottle is removed.
  • Tissue paper is allowed provided that they have nothing written on them.
  • 100 multiple choice questions on the exam 
  • The questions are on grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension. 
  • Students must bring pencils, erasers and pencil sharpeners with them to the exam. They are not allowed to ask for these items from their friends or invigilators.
  • All electronic devices and watches will be collected and placed in a plastic pack which needs to be sealed by the students. If the students are caught with a second electronic device on them, the invigilator will prepare an incident report form, which will lead to disciplinary investigation. 
  • If any of your electronic devices that are collected is on, the invigilator will prepare an incident report form, which will lead to disciplinary investigation. 
  • The invigilator has the right to prepare an incident report form even without warning the student if the student is suspected to be cheating, which will lead to disciplinary investigation. 
  • If the students fail to code their booklet types and class codes, their exams might be nullified. 
  • Students cannot take the question booklets and the optical forms out from the exam room. 
  • Students cannot ask any exam-related questions to the invigilators.
