English Placement Exam (EPL) Results – September 07, 2026
The results of the English Placement Exam (EPL) held on September 07, 2026 have been announced through TEDU Portal. Students can view their results on the Portal and will see one of the following status codes based on their results:
HZ: Students who will continue their studies in the English Preparatory Program.
EPE: Students who will take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) on September 08–09, 2026
ABS: Absent students
Students with EPE status are required to carefully check the exam room, classroom, and speaking exam time information published in this announcement.
Students whose names do not appear on the list above have been placed in the English Preparatory Program. Your assigned level and the relevant details will be announced on September 18, 2026.

There is no make-up examination for the English Placement Exam (EPL).
English Proficiency Exam – September 8–9, 2026
The English Proficiency Exam (EPE) will be administered face-to-face in the designated exam rooms on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 and Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Please check your classroom/venue information separately for both days and read the EPE Procedures for Students carefully before taking the exam.

IMPORTANT: All sessions of the exam will be administered face-to-face. Your room for the Speaking Exam on Wednesday, September 9 may be different from the room where you take the Listening and Reading and Writing sessions on Tuesday, September 8. Therefore, please check your classroom/venue information separately for both days.

Exam Schedule
The exam consists of three sessions.
Tuesday, September 08, 2026 – Sessions 1 and 2
The Listening and Reading session and the Writing session will be administered in the same exam room.

Wednesday, September 9, 2026 – Session 3
Session 3: Speaking
Speaking exams will start at 10:00. Each student has an individually assigned exam time indicated in the student list.
In addition, students must be at the waiting area 5 minutes before their assigned exam time. Students who are more than 2 minutes late for their assigned exam time will not be admitted to the Speaking Exam.
The Speaking Exam is administered individually, with each student assessed by two assessors.

Important Reminders
Make sure you check your exam dates, times, classroom/venue information, and Speaking Exam time in the published list.
Bring your TEDU Card or another valid photo ID on which your identity can be clearly verified (national/international ID card, passport, driver’s license, etc.). Students who fail to present a valid ID will not be admitted to the exam.
Only pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, water, and tissue paper are allowed on desks during the exam. Optical answer sheets must be completed in pencil.
All electronic devices must be switched off and handed to the invigilators before the exam begins. Please do not bring large electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, or over-ear headphones to the exam venue.
Students who arrive late for the Listening and Reading session will not be admitted while the Listening section is in progress. They may be admitted after the first 45 minutes, once the Listening section is over, after completing and signing the required Late Arrival Form. Students who arrive more than 45 minutes late will not be admitted to the exam.
Students who arrive late for the Writing session will not be admitted to the exam room.
There is no make-up examination for the English Proficiency Exam (EPE). If you are unable to take the exam for any reason, you may take one of the examinations listed on the TED University English Language School Equivalency page (https://els.tedu.edu.tr/esdegerlik) and send your result to els@tedu.edu.tr by the end of September.
Exam Results
EPE results will be announced on TEDU Portal after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026.

After logging in to the Portal, click on the “My Results” tile under Courses. On the next screen, select the relevant EPE exam to view your result.

Instructors will not answer questions regarding exam results before the results have been officially announced.
Results will be sent by e-mail to international students, students who have left the University, and master’s students.
After the Exam
Students who are eligible to proceed to their faculties based on their exam results may contact their faculties in accordance with the dates specified in the Academic Calendar.

Classes for students who will continue their studies in the English Language School Preparatory Program will begin on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Course schedules and classroom information for Preparatory Program students will be announced through TEDU Portal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026.
Appeals Against Exam Results
Appeals against exam results will be accepted on September 15, 16, and 17, 2026 in accordance with Section 2, Article 8.4 of the TED University English Language School Academic Rules and Regulations.
Appeals may be submitted:
in person, with a written petition, to the ELS Administrative Office; or
by e-mail to els@tedu.edu.tr, sent only from the student’s tedu.edu.tr e-mail address.
Appeals submitted outside the dates specified above will not be accepted.
