Information on the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) and Transition Requirements

Dear Students,

As part of the recent update to the TED University English Language School Academic Rules and Regulations, important changes have been introduced in favor of our students regarding the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) and the requirements for transitioning from the English Preparatory Program to undergraduate programs.

Under the new regulations, students who achieve a score of 60% or above on the English Proficiency Exam will be considered successful in the English Preparatory Program and will be eligible to begin their undergraduate programs.

The following students will be eligible to take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) to be administered at the beginning of the fall semester in September:

  • Students who are placed at the upper-intermediate level based on their Placement Exam (EPL) results,
  • Students who advanced to and/or studied at the upper-intermediate level during the previous academic year,
  • Students admitted in the 2025-2026 academic year who are currently in the Upper Success group.

We strongly encourage all students who are eligible to take the September EPE to regard this exam as an important opportunity to successfully complete the English Preparatory Program and proceed to their undergraduate programs and to continue their exam preparation accordingly.

Detailed information regarding the exam date, time, venues, application requirements, and exam procedures will be announced separately by the English Language School.

We wish all our students success.
