February 3 & 4 - EPE Announcement

Dear Students,

You are going to have EPE at 09:00 on Wednesday (03.02.2021) and at your allocated times on Thursday (04.02.2021). Please check the list for your EPE sections and time allocations.

PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT YOUR SESSION NUMBER IS DIFFERENT FOR THE SPEAKING PART OF THE EXAM AND YOU HAVE TO BE IN YOUR ZOOM SESSION ONLY AT THE ALLOCATED TIME FOR THE SPEAKING EXAM. IT MEANS THAT THE STUDENTS WILL SPEND ONLY 10 MINUTES FOR THE SPEAKING EXAM ON THURSDAY.

Students who do not wait in the waiting room of the designated sections WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to take the exam. Please check the PDF file carefully and note down your sections for both days along with your time allocations to take the speaking exam. 

In order not to cause any delay during the exam, you are expected to make necessary arrangements beforehand for all seatings on Wednesday and the speaking exam on Thursday. 

Also, if you haven't properly configured your device for Safe Exam Browser, you WON'T BE ABLE TO TAKE THE EXAM. If you have any problems related to installing the required software and application, please contact the IT department via https://remote.tedu.edu.tr/tr/remote/destek

You will access EPE on a Moodle page named 2020F_FEBRUARY_EPE.

Below is the duration for each part and the flow of the exam:

-          03.02.2021: There will be two Zoom sessions on Wednesday

SESSION 1:  Writing: 60 mins (starts at 09:00)

LUNCH BREAK

SESSION 2: Listening & Reading (starts at 13:00) (2 hours approx.)

-          16.09.2020: There will be one Zoom session on Thursday

 

SESSION 3:  Speaking: 10 mins approx... (starts at 09:00 – students are expected to be present in their exam rooms at their allocated times stated on the student list)

REMINDERS:

- Moodle account details are shared with the international, dismissed, transfer and master’s students via e-mail by the system. If you haven’t received your Moodle details, please contact https://remote.tedu.edu.tr/tr/remote/destek

- Check your name from the student lists attached for the sessions that you are going to take the exam in. The lists are in an alphabetical order by your surname.

LATECOMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED to take the exam. 

- STUDENTS WHOSE NAMES ARE ON THE LIST ATTACHED BUT DO NOT TAKE THE EXAM WILL BE PLACED IN A SUCCESS LEVEL. THESE STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE ANOTHER EPE AND MOVE ON TO THEIR FACULTIES AT THE END OF THE SPRING TERM ON CONDITION THAT THEY NOT FAIL IN A SUCCESS DUE TO ABSENTEEISM. SUCH STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO SEND AN E-MAIL TO US.

- You MUST leave the Zoom session between the sessions and find your afternoon Zoom session before the start time of the following section.

- The exam grades will only be shared with you on TEDU Portal not any earlier than February 5th. The results for Master, dismissed and transfer students will be published on TEDU ELS Announcements web page. Please do not contact your class instructors for your exam grade-related questions. Such questions WILL NOT BE ANSWERED in the meantime.
